Day 1  Salta airport - Salta

Day 2  Salta - Quebrada de Humahuaca - Salta

Leaving early in the morning, we enter Jujuy province to visit Unesco World Heritage Quebrada de Humahuaca. We visit Purmamarca and its colorful “Seven Colours Hill”. Then, we enter the Quebrada de Humahuaca, passing through the Posta de Hornillos, continuing towards the town of Tilcara. We continue to Huacalera, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn, from where you can see the colors of the hill called “Pollera de la Colla”. We visit the mystical Church of Uquía, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the area of ​​the Cuzqueña school) are located. Then we arrive in Humahuaca and admire its important Cathedral and the Independence Monument (El Indio) by the sculptor Soto Avendaño. After lunch we return to observe “Paleta del Pintor” mountain range that frames the town of Maimara from the route. And at the end of the afternoon, we arrived in the city of Salta.

Day 3  Salta - Paso de Jama - San Pedro de Atacama

Nos despedimos temprano de Salta y en bus cruzamos la Cordillera de los Andes ingresando a Chile en un recorrido inolvidable que a través del paso de Jama nos permite apreciar el paisaje Andino. Este es un viaje largo viaje en bus, pero lo vale. Al llegar a San Pedro de Atacama, nos dirigimos al hotel.

Early in the morning we say goodbye to Salta and by bus we cross the mountain range of Los Andes, entering Chile appreciating incredible Andean landscapes thru Paso de Jama. Upon arrival in San Pedro de Atacama, we go to our hotel.

Day 4  San Pedro de Atacama - Altiplanic Lagoons

This day we will visit the Miscanti y Miñique lagoons; with its wonderful colours are located over 4000 meters over the level of the sea. On our way to them, we stop at a Toconao, an old town made complete of stone, where the art craft is also well known. Another highlight of this is the “Salar de Atacama” which is over 100 km of extension. We will also appreciate some of the birds and fauna that has manage to survive in one the most desert places of the earth. All this will require from us around 6 hours.

Day 5  San Pedro de Atacama - Geiseres del Tatio

This day starts quite early in the morning. We will depart before sunrise (4am) in order to go to the TATIO volcano, located 4300 meters over sea level. First thing we’ll do once we arrive is to go to the geothermal field located in the mountain range of Los Andes. Early in the morning this place has an amazing steamy activity because of the high temperatures that are coming up from the craters. The boiling water, the huge columns on steam and the water that runs underneath the surface makes of this, and unforgettable experience.
Here will have breakfast, and then we’ll take a walk and those who want to might take a bath in the warm water (between 25ºC and 30ºC). near the geysers.

Day 6  San Pedro de Atacama

This is a free day to explore the area. You can enjoy any of the many activities San Pedro de Atacama offers.

Day 7  San Pedro de Atacama - Calama

At the time indicated according to the flight, we transfer to Calama, the closest airport to San Pedro de Atacama.
